The Safe Development Alms Trust (SDAT) was established in 1993 with a singular and enduring mission—to uphold the ideals of “Health for All” and “Service to Humanity.” Guided by these core values, the Trust has continuously worked to advance healthcare and education for the betterment of society.
Founded in 2008, Karuna College of Nursing stands as a meaningful realization of this vision in the realm of professional nursing education. Rooted in the principles of service and compassion, what began as a modest charitable initiative has, over the years, blossomed into a modern centre of excellence in medical and nursing education, dedicated to nurturing competent professionals committed to caring for life with dignity and purpose.
Approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Karuna College of Nursing follows a robust academic framework aligned with contemporary healthcare needs. Our curriculum emphasizes scientific knowledge, hands-on clinical training, ethical practice, and compassionate patient care.
The college is set on a 30-acre eco-friendly campus, offering a calm and inspiring learning environment. Students benefit from direct access to a 650-bed multispecialty teaching hospital, enabling continuous clinical learning across medical, surgical, critical care, maternal and child health, mental health, and community nursing specialties.
